Prices follow the salon’s Naver Place listing (October 2026). The price also depends on the stylist’s level, hair length and hair condition, and your stylist confirms the final price before work starts.

How a perm works

A perm changes the shape of the hair from the inside. The stylist applies a solution that softens the bonds in each strand, wraps the hair around a rod or shapes it with heat, then sets the new shape with a second step. After rinsing, the hair holds the new pattern, whether that is curl, wave, lift or straightness.

Because the structure of the hair is changed, the result lasts until the treated hair grows out or is cut off. That is why the consultation matters. The stylist chooses the method, the rod size or setting, and the timing from your hair’s condition.

The five perm rows

• Basic perm: the standard curl or wave service. See the Korean perm page.

Choosing a curl shape

Perm names describe the look the stylist builds. A C-curl bends inward under the jaw or shoulder. An S-curl forms a wave that travels down the length. Other looks add a fuller, looser or airier feel. Each has a page of its own.

Which look suits you depends on length, density and how you style. The stylist decides what rod size and method fit your hair.

Is your hair ready for a perm

Hair that is healthy, evenly textured and not heavily bleached takes a perm more predictably. Hair that has been bleached, color-treated many times or previously straightened is more fragile. The stylist may suggest a gentler method, a test, a treatment first, or no perm at all for now.

Tell the stylist the dates of your last perm, color, bleach and straightening. Be honest, because incomplete history is the most common reason that a chemical plan goes wrong. A treatment before or after can also help.

Time and planning

A perm is a long service, and some of the heat-based and straightening services take much of a day. Book a morning slot on a Tuesday to Saturday, and keep the rest of the day free. The salon closes at 19:30, so a late start puts pressure on the schedule. Read the booking page for the steps.

Looking after a perm

General habits help any perm last: use a gentle shampoo, dry the hair gently, avoid heavy brushing on wet hair and handle curls with fingers or a wide comb. Ask the stylist for advice specific to the method used. The rules for a straightening service differ from those for a curl service.
