The three cut rows
The haircut menu is short. The designer haircut and the director haircut are the same kind of service done at different stylist levels. The bangs cut is its own row, for guests who want only the fringe changed.
The amounts in the table are from the Naver Place listing. See the full price list to compare with other services. Final prices depend on stylist level, length and condition, and the stylist confirms them at the salon.
Designer cut or director cut
Both rows deliver a full cut. What differs is the level of the stylist, and pricing is based on that level. This site does not state which level each stylist belongs to, so check the stylist’s Naver Booking page or confirm when you reserve.
Choose by what you need. A simple trim that keeps your current shape is a different job from a big change in outline, a long-to-short cut or a style built around layers. If you plan a big change, say so in your notes. The stylists page explains how to choose between Sil, Suna and Hyungwook.
When the bangs cut is enough
Bangs grow quickly and change the frame of the face more than any other part of the hair. A fringe that sits in the eyes or has lost its shape can be fixed in a short visit. The bangs and fringe cut page covers types of fringe and how to describe one.
If you are starting a fringe from nothing, a full cut may be the better plan, because the stylist can blend the front into the sides.
Cuts by hair type and purpose
Different heads of hair call for different thinking. Each page below goes deeper on one topic.
- Women’s haircut and men’s haircut for general shapes.
- Layered cut, bob cut and short hair cut for specific silhouettes.
- Curly hair cut and thick hair cut for texture and volume.
- Face-shape cut for choosing a line that suits your features.
How to prepare for a cut
Bring photos from the front, side and back. Choose pictures of hair that resembles yours in thickness and texture, since a cut on fine straight hair will not look the same on thick wavy hair. Write down the length you want, and show where it should fall on your body.
Think about maintenance as well as the day-one look. A cut that needs daily blow-drying will not suit someone who air-dries, and a cut that grows out gracefully saves return visits. Tell the stylist how often you plan to come back, because it changes the choice of shape. Wear your hair as usual, so the stylist can see how it falls. If you have had a perm or color recently, say so. Details are on the booking page.
Cut plus another service
A cut is also a good first visit if you are unsure about the salon. It is the shortest service, you see the stylist’s work straight away, and you can book a bigger service next time. Many guests combine a cut with a perm or color so that the shape suits the new texture or tone. Doing the cut at the end of the visit lets the stylist clean the outline once the chemical work is done. Ask which order the stylist prefers. For more on pairing, see the services menu.
