Hair salon near Gangnam hotels: a guide for guests

Gangnam has many hotels, and we do not claim that the salon is close to any particular one. We do not list hotel names or distances. From your hotel to the salon

1. Copy the Korean address into your phone notes before you leave the room.
2. Enter it in a route planner with the hotel as the start point. Read the options for taxi and metro.
3. If you prefer a taxi, show the address on your screen, or ask the front desk to write it down.
4. If you take the metro, the planner will name a station and an exit. Follow the exit number carefully on arrival.
5. Check the building number, 34, and go up to the 4th floor.

Leave a few spare minutes. Streets in Gangnam can be confusing the first time, especially with narrow side roads.

Timing a salon visit around your stay

• Arrival day: not ideal for a long service after a flight. A cut is manageable.
• Middle of the stay: the right time for colour, perm or a treatment, because you have time to see the result and adjust.
• Departure day: avoid heavy services. Luggage and a freshly processed head do not mix.
• Sunday and Monday: the salon is closed. Plan around the open days, Tuesday to Saturday.

Questions to ask your front desk

Hotel staff can help with three things: writing the Korean address on paper, calling a taxi, and telling you which exit of a station is easiest for your hotel. Ask for the taxi to stop on the street named Apgujeong-ro 80-gil, so you do not need to explain a building name.

Also ask the desk what time you should leave to allow for traffic. Evening traffic in Gangnam can be slow, and you do not want to arrive late for a service that has been set aside for you.
